PSTrax Partners with Delta Development Team to Automate Cold Chain Documentation for Prehospital Blood Programs

DENVER, CO —  September 23, 2026 – PSTrax, the leading operations management platform built for first responders, announced a new partnership with Delta Development Team (DDT), a Tucson, Arizona medical technology company specializing in prehospital blood storage and transfusion solutions.

The partnership connects DDT’s BloodCOMM®-enabled coolers and portable blood refrigerators directly to the PSTrax Blood Products module, giving agencies a continuous temperature record on every unit of blood they carry. It is the first hardware connection PSTrax has built for the module.

Temperature documentation remains a critical part of prehospital blood management. In programs that rely on periodic manual checks, temperature may only be documented at scheduled intervals, leaving gaps in the record between checks. A cooler that drifts out of range between those checks may not be identified until the next inspection. Continuous monitoring creates a more complete record of storage conditions and helps provide confidence that blood has remained within the required temperature range.

With the integration enabled, PSTrax logs a reading from each connected BloodCOMM-enabled device every fifteen minutes, automatically, with no crew action. Readings post against the blood products a department already tracks in PSTrax, so temperature history sits on the unit record next to intake, transfers, and administration. Every reading includes the device name, device identifier, and battery status. Device GPS location, BloodCOMM user accounts, and personal information are not shared.

Together, PSTrax and Delta Development Team’s BloodCOMM software help agencies:

• Log cooler temperature automatically every fifteen minutes, around the clock
• Keep cold chain data and custody data on a single unit record
• Pull one report showing every movement of a unit with its temperature history beside it
• Eliminate the manual cross-check between two separate systems
• Produce exportable documentation for blood bank, hospital, and accreditation review
