Protective equipment readiness across military units and deployments requires documentation that does not depend on individual unit practices or the institutional memory of rotating personnel. When PPE management runs on unit-level records and informal assignment tracking, command has no centralised visibility over what gear is assigned, what has been inspected, and what needs replacement.
